Library of Sarupathar College

The College has a rich Library with a collection of exceeding 10,000 volumes of books, journals and reference books. It has an enriched subscription of journals, newspapers and magazines catering to the needs of faculty and students. The library has a furnished reading room accommodating faculty and students. The students abide by the rules of the Library.
With the inspection of Sarupathar College, a library was also established in 1970, up to 1990, it was in a small room and was running without a permanent library. In 2017, library was shifted to the present building.

The mission of our college library is to fulfils the need of the user and to motivate them to use it.

Working Hours of Library

Working hours of the library is from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. On all working days of the college. Library remains close on Sunday and Govt. holiday.

Library Rules & Regulation

Students must take Library Card for borrowing books. Two books can be borrowed at a time for a period not exceeding 15 (fifteen) days. Books issued can be recalled at any time in case of urgency by the Librarian.

tudents must return the library books before filling up the Examination Form. No students will be allowed to fill up the Examination Form without Library Clearance Certificate.

A fine of twenty five (25) paise per book per day will be charged, if the borrowers fail to return the books on due date and Rs.1.00 per day thereafter will be imposed.

Requisition slip must be submitted before one day of issuing the books from the Library.

Reference books, newspaper, periodicals and question papers are not allowed to be taken out of the Library. Question papers are available for copying only.

Silence should be maintained in the Library. The Reading Room remains open during the college routine hours.

The Librarian shall bring it to the notice of the Principal, if any student is found to have damaged or misused books, made noise or misbehaved in any other way will make the student liable to disciplinary action.

Books will have to be replaced from any source if lost, torn or mutilated in any other way.

The students may bring to the notice to the Librarian their grievances if any.

The College Library remains open on all working days of the College from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The days for borrowing of library books may be fixed by the librarian as per convenience.

Library Card are not transferable.
