On August 31, the Sarupathar College Students' Union hosted the Freshman Social 2024 to welcome new students. Mr. Mayur Bora, a prominent Assamese writer and orator, attended the event. Everyone was delighted by his excellent and patriotic speech. During the program, three prestigious student awards namely the best graduate, 2024, the best Commerce Graduate, 2024, and the Best Graduate of Assamese Department, 2024 were awarded. The event was also attended by the leadership of several student organizations and ended successfully with a cultural program by the students and alumni of the college.
