Sarupathar College observed National Martyr’s Day (Shaheed Divas) on 30 January with deep respect and solemnity, commemorating the supreme sacrifices made for India’s freedom, with special homage to Mahatma Gandhi, the “Father of the Nation.” The programme aimed to remind students and staff of the values of truth, non-violence, and patriotism championed by Gandhiji. The observance included a moment of silence in his memory and reflections on the enduring relevance of his ideals.
