A formal Career Awareness Program was successfully organized on June 23, 2026, under the joint aegis of the Career Counseling Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sarupathar College. The primary objective of the initiative was to enlighten and guide the student community regarding prospective career trajectories, with a specific focus on public administration and competitive civil service examinations.

Profile and Key Address of the Resource Person

The event was graced by Mr. Priyabrat Hazurika, ACS, who serves as the Border Magistrate of the Sarupathar Co-District. As the resource person for the program, Mr.  Hazarika delivered a compelling and highly informative keynote speech drawing from her extensive professional experience in civil services.

  • Personal Journey: She shared her motivational trajectory and personal milestones encountered while clearing the Assam Civil Services (ACS) examination.
  • Strategic Preparation: Detailed strategies for approaching the ACS and SSC syllabi, including comprehensive advice on time management, structured daily routines, and selective textbook mapping.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: An illuminating breakdown of the roles, daily challenges, and operational mandates of serving as a Border Magistrate, reinforcing the core value of public dedication and ethical governance.
