On 5 June 2026, the NSS Unit of Sarupathar College observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility towards nature. As part of the celebration, NSS volunteers planted several jackfruit saplings in the college campus to contribute to environmental conservation and to leave a green legacy for future generations.
To spread awareness among young learners, a Drawing Competition was also organized for the students of Naharani LP School on the theme of environmental protection. The children actively participated and expressed their ideas creatively through their drawings. Prizes were awarded to the best performers to encourage and inspire them to become environmentally conscious citizens.
The programme successfully promoted the message of environmental sustainability and highlighted the importance of collective efforts in protecting nature.
