An awareness programme titled “Navjeevan: A Consultation on Care, Justice & Dignity for Acid Attack Survivors” was organised by the Sarupathar College Women Cell on 9 September 2026 at Muhikanta Tamuly Auditorium, Sarupathar College.
The programme focused on creating awareness about the challenges faced by acid attack survivors and promoting care, justice, dignity, and social support for them. Dr. Bobita Dutta, HoD, Department of Assamese, and Trishmita Borah, HoD, Department of English, served as the resource persons. The programme encouraged students and participants to develop greater sensitivity and awareness towards survivors and their rights.
